NuMatch — Privacy Policy

Short version: NuMatch currently operates a waitlist app. We collect only what we need to run the waitlist — your email address, the cities where you’d like to meet people, your app language, and a coarse (approximate) location sent automatically with the form submission. We don’t run third‑party ads, we don’t sell personal data, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.

1) Who we are

NuMatch (“we”, “our”, “us”) is the developer of the NuMatch app and website. For privacy questions or requests, email privacy@numatch.club or support@numatch.club.

2) Data we collect

While NuMatch is in waitlist/preview mode, we collect the following from you when you submit the in‑app form or our site form:

Email address — so we can contact you about access and updates.
Preferred cities — where you’d like to meet people (free‑text or selected options).
Language — the language of your submission.
Coarse location — an approximate location (e.g., city/region) sent with the form to help us understand demand. We do not collect precise GPS data.
Device & app logs (limited) — basic technical logs for stability and fraud prevention (e.g., timestamp, IP‑derived region, user agent).

We do not collect health data, contacts, photos, microphones, or precise location. We do not use third‑party advertising SDKs.

3) How we use your data

To operate the waitlist, manage invitations, and communicate with you about access, product news, or policy updates.
To plan city rollouts and improve the service (aggregate analytics such as interest by city/region).
To protect our service, prevent spam/fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

4) Legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)

Where EU/UK data protection laws apply, we process personal data on these bases:

Consent — when you voluntarily submit the form or opt in to communications.
Legitimate interests — to run a secure, useful waitlist and plan rollouts (balanced against your rights and expectations).
Legal obligation — to keep necessary records and comply with requests from authorities.

We do not sell personal data. We share limited data with trusted service providers acting on our instructions, such as website hosting, email delivery, and analytics strictly for our own product metrics (no third‑party ads or data brokers). These providers are bound by contracts that restrict their use of your data.

6) Retention

We keep waitlist data for as long as you are on the waitlist or as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it. If you do not interact with us for 24 months, we may delete your submission sooner. You can request deletion at any time (see below).

7) Your rights

GDPR/UK GDPR (EEA & UK residents)

You may request to access, correct, delete, or port your data; to object to or restrict processing; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise rights, email privacy@numatch.club. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

CCPA/CPRA (California residents)

We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. California residents may request:

Know/Access — the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about you.
Delete — ask us to delete personal information (subject to legal exceptions).
Correct — request correction of inaccurate data.
Limit use of sensitive information — not applicable today, as we don’t collect sensitive info for the waitlist.

Submit requests to privacy@numatch.club. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data (TLS in transit, restricted access, least‑privilege practices). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

9) Children & age limits

NuMatch is intended for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10) International data transfers

We may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or UK Addendum for transfers to service providers.

11) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as we expand from a waitlist to the full app. We’ll post the new version here and update the effective date. Material changes will be highlighted or communicated where appropriate.
